Vineyard

Selected premium vineyards were chosen for their intense varietal flavour, and picked at their peak.

Season

Another dry winter followed by late spring rains enabled vines to produce a healthy crop of fruit. A warm summer started this harvest early, kicking off in the last week of January. With crops slightly lighter than average and no disease, quality is above average.

Tasting Note

Very pale straw with a green tinge. Tight and bright, picked peach and melon notes, carried on a weighty palate, culminating in a fresh & crisp finish with the most interesting of oak nuances.

Medium bodied, seriously delicious Australian Chardonnay!

Winemaking

This wine was fermented cool over a two week period. Selected parcels were fermented with the inclusion of French oak. Once fermentation was complete the wines were matured on fine yeast lees over 5 months to build palate weight.

Wine Analysis Alc/Vol: 12%, pH 3.35, TA: 6g/L

Cellaring In a good cellar this wine will last for 2-3 years.
