IONOS ROSE

This wine comes from selected parcels in high-lying vineyards of Peloponnese, making the wine fresh and lively - a piece of mountain Greek summer that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Ionos is short for kalos ionos, or «good omen». Delicate rose colour with magenta tints. Rich floral and strawberry ripe forest fruits aromas followed by white pepper. The palate is complex with refreshing acidity an exceptionally versatile and food friendly wine. The finish is fruity and refreshing.

This wine comes from selected parcels in high-lying vineyards of Peloponnese, making the wine fresh and lively - a piece of mountain Greek summer that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Situated in the sub-mountainous zones of Peloponnese peninsula in southern Greece, the selected vineyards are at around 350 to 700 metres above sea level, and have sandy soils with some clay and gravel.

Variety: Syrah 20%, Roditis 80% Residual sugar: 5.5 g/L

Serving suggestion and food pairing: Perfect aperitif. Serve chilled ~9-11°C but not too cold in order to savour its complex fruit, herbal and mineral flavours. Very versatile: enjoy it with cold cuts, cheese platters, pizzas, white meats and even well cooked red meats, grilled fish, nuts, fruit salads and deserts…
