This robust wine with glossy dark red colour comes from Korlat’s position of Benkovac – Stankovac vineyards where it has been nurtured in oak barrels. Powerful, rich structure, supported by aromas of ripe red fruits, cherries and raspberries is further harmonized with discrete spicy aromas. A lasting strong taste with balanced sourness and soft, ripe tannins give the wine an additional dimension and smooth texture. These are the qualities that will make you want to enjoy this wine again.

Winery: Badel 1862 is one of the largest and oldest wine and spirits producers in Croatia, continuing and cultivating the rich tradition inherited from the renowned companies Pokorny, Patria, Arko and Badel Vinoprodukt. Throughout its history Badel 1862 won numerous awards. The first one was obtained for Gorki Pelinkovac liqueur from Pokorny, the Silver Medal at the World's Fair, Paris, in 1867.

Terroir: In 2004 as part of the winery Benkovac, people started building a new vineyard on the site Korlat. The 104 Ha of the vineyard area lies on the stone maquis. Vineyard Korlat is planted by seeds from France. The way of planting vineyards in rocky terrain, according to global standards is considered as pioneer venture. The vineyard has grown in extreme conditions on a terrain covered by stone along with Mediterranean foliage and it has its tipping point at the altitude of 300 meters above sea level. It is entirely faced towards the sea.
